Metso's exchange offer to purchase all of Tamfelt's shares and stock options

Metso and Tamfelt have on November 5, 2009 signed a combination agreement, whereby Metso and Tamfelt will combine their operations.
Metso has made an exchange offer for all of the issued and outstanding shares and stock options in Tamfelt. Metso offers Tamfelt's shareholders three (3) new shares in Metso for each ten (10) Tamfelt shares. The offer period commenced on November 23, 2009 and expired on December 18, 2009.

Tamfelt is one of the world’s leading suppliers of technical textiles. The combination will provide Tamfelt’s products and services new global growth opportunities. Metso will get new technology and competences for developing the services business.
